Our weekly open mic night continues into its 10th year! Hosted by indie rocker David Macmichael of The Danger Bees (on bass) this night is always a blast! Chalkboard sign-up at 6:30pm, 3 songs per player with or without the backline. Please bring your own mic if possible, we have strict covid-cleaning protocol in place as well. Denis Keldie

Denis Keldie has been active in a number of types of music over the years, from R&B to Jazz, Pop, Country and everything else in between, both in Toronto and abroad. As co-founder of A&M recording act The Extras, he co-wrote four critically acclaimed pop albums from 1980 to 1985, and toured extensively during that time. As a studio musician, playing Hammond organ, piano, all keyboards, accordion, mandolin, guitar and bass, he has over a 150 CDs (and vinyl albums) to his credit, with artists like Natalie McMaster, Jeff Healey, Prairie Oyster, Rita Coolidge with Ry Cooder, The Boomers, Jesse Cook, B.B. Gabor, Alfie Zappacosta, Lost and Profound, The Lincolns, The Extras, King Biscuit Boy, The Stampeders, Etta James and has performed on TV and live appearances with Rankins, Colin James, Jann Arden, Amy Sky, Marc Jordan, Ashley McIsaac, Bruce Guthro, Gordie Sampson, Crowbar and many others.

Sean puts the history of blues guitar music into a blender and it comes out all dirty and grimy, sounding at once like something you’ve never quite heard before, while remaining true to the lineage that Sean so clearly reveres.

Danny Marks Combo

Canadian guitarist Danny Marks of Edward Bear fame & current DJ of Saturday nights on Bluz.FM will perform solo, hits from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s. An afternoon of singing & dancing in musical nostalgia, with one of Toronto’s most beloved performers. Saturday afternoon matinees are back with Kyle Sulivan on drums & Rodney St. Amand on bass.

Fronted by David Macmichael of indie rockers The Danger Bees, he is joined by Arch Rockefeller on bass and Jace Traz on drums (All Dressed, Sam Taylor & The East End Love) This night is sure to please as they dig deep into their huge repertoire of original power pop tunes, thoughtful ballads, covers & requests!

The Wednesday residency with The BTB’S continues into its 8th year! This instrumental jazz funk trio is Ed Kopala on lead guitar (12th Fret) Robert Bilton on bass (12th Fret) and Pete Griffin on drums. Every 2nd week Ed brings in a guest drummer! Paul De Long sit in regularly on drums.

Chris Scian (vocals/guitar) is a Toronto Beaches-based singer/songwriter and performer. With his original “acoustic rock-styled” songs, and vast repertoire of rock/pop covers [’70s,’80s,’90s], this is sure to be an entertaining evening of music.

Jim Gelcer

Jim Gelcer (drums, vocals) has been called “a hidden jewel in the Canadian jazz landscape.” He is at home in an eclectic range of genres, from jazz and rock to klezmer and kirtan.

Dan Walsh

Canadian singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalist, Dan Walsh is already well known for his collaborations with a number of talented musicians. He’s added his bluesy-bluegrass signature style to more than 40 albums and toured across North America, Europe and Australia. For many years Walsh was a key member of Fred Eaglesmith’s band, The Flying Squirrels, where he played more than a couple of hundred gigs a year and shared the stage with the likes of Willie Nelson, Little Feat, Delbert McClinton, Willie P. Bennett and the Del McCoury Band. In 2012, Walsh re-invented himself as a solo looping artist and released his 3rd solo album entitled “Outta The Jam.”
