Originally from Lac-Saint-Jean, Québec, Fred Boutin is a musician and song writer currently living in East York, Toronto. His passion and energy for music, whether playing it or writing it, is only matched by the pleasure he takes on stage sharing it. An in-demand multi-instrumentalist, Fred finds the guitar to be the best vehicle to express his musical creativity.

Lately, Fred has been performing his most recent original songs, written in both French and English. His compositions have been described as a weaving of classic rock, bluesy and funky riffs with thoughtful lyrics rich in meaning and insight.
The band will also be playing some up beat covers, with the mandolin being the preeminent instrument.

His band, The Eastern Maze, is composed of Jonathan MacLean (bass, acoustic guitar), Stuart Ferguson (drum) and Matthew Boukydis (cajon, bass).
